We met with Alex Haas of Illinois Energy in October, 2013 about window replacement. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were impressed with his professionalism, the quality of the product and the excellent warranty so we decided to have 3 windows in our bedroom replaced. Up to that point we had many problems with the windows in this room. There was difficulty locking the windows, condensation, and the biggest problem-leaking. Whenever there was rain, we had to line the sills with towels to absorb all the water that was leaking. This also caused damage to the window sills. The windows were replaced in December, 2013. The installers were working in very cold weather, yet they took their time to make sure the job was completed properly. The windows look beautiful, they work smoothly, but the most important test came when it rained.. There has been no leaking and no condensation. We are very happy with the new windows and are having Illinois Energy replace more of our windows.

Illinois Energy Windows and Siding has been a pleasure to do business with. Our salesman James was very professional and full of industry knowledge. Having no real knowledge of windows prior to meeting with James I walked away with a true understanding of why Worthington Windows are a superior product and why Illinois Energy’s lifetime warranty is different than other lifetime limited warranties.
Working with James we split the windows into groups that will get installed incrementally. This is a more affordable option for us allowing us to pay in full rather than finance. Our home is only 10 years old but the windows the builder installed were garbage; drafty in the winter and rusted in-between the panes. Installation went smoothly; our installer was very polite and respectful. The windows were installed in a day and everything was cleaned and patched before they left. I would definitely recommend Illinois Energy Windows and Siding to anyone looking to have a superior product installed by professional s in their home or business. Our windows look amazing and perform as promised. We look forward to having the next batch of windows done soon.

We recently had Illinois Energy replace all of the windows on the main level of our house, 7 windows total and a sliding glass door. We could not be happier with the end results! Our windows went from a dark brown to a brilliant white and it is amazing how big of a difference the new windows make in our house. The new sliding glass door looks wonderful and all of our windows and the doors are so much less drafty! We immediately felt a difference! We replaced a bathroom window with a glass block window and it looks amazing! Such a huge difference it makes to our bathroom! Illinois Energy did incredible work and we could not be happier with our new windows! We recently had Illinois Energy replace a large bay window in our living room, the windows in our daughter’s room and our front door. We have immediately felt and seen the benefits.
Sitting in front of our bay window during the winter months was like an endurance competition because you could actually feel a cold draft coming over your shoulders. We tried loading the sitting area with blankets to block the encroaching elements, but all that did was give us cold blankets with which to cover our freezing selves. The new window was installed on a 25-degree day, and the change was incredible. Not only is the area warmer but it is also quieter because we no longer hear the breezes that used to squeeze through the old windows.
Our daughter’s room is also much quieter, and we can’t wait to see the difference this summer in the amount of climate control the room will have. Because her room is on the second floor and faces west, it used to be roasting by about 4:00 in the afternoon. We’ve already felt the difference in the amount of bright light that enters the room, so we’re confident she’ll sleep more comfortably when the weather warms.
But the most noticeable difference has been with our new front door system. Our previous door looked rather cheap when compared to the rest of the house, and the lack of sidelights made our front entryway dark all day long. In addition, you could actually see gaps along the bottom of the old door where cold when seep in. Our new door is rich in color, has a much more stately design and fits tightly in the space to help regulate the inside temperature. We live on a street with many beautiful houses, but we now feel that our new door helps our house stand out.
Installation was quick, courteous and professional, and we will have no problem recommending Illinois Energy to our friends and neighbors.

When we first scheduled our appointment with Illinois Energy, we only planned to get an estimate for windows, and didn’t think we would be buying anything. However, after going over all our options with James we were sold and couldn’t wait to get new windows. James was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in detail such as the quality and construction of the windows.
Shortly after, Dom came in to take all the measurements for the windows and we were extremely impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. After experiencing some difficulties with obtaining permits (the double hungs we wanted did not meet egress) James came back in to figure out an option we’d be happy with. Not only did we find a solution, but came up with something better than we could have ever imagined.
Installation was relatively quick and painless as well. Matt and Donnie did a fantastic job, working extremely hard to get the job done. The work they did included installation of 11 windows and 5 of these needed new cut-outs. They left the house clean and even painted where there was new drywall.
Overall, we love our new windows. The outside trim is absolutely beautiful, the views from the inside are stunning, and we have already noticed a difference in temperature in our bedrooms. We cannot wait to finish the rest of the house.

James Shropshire, Sales Manager of Illinois Energy came over and we discussed the company and their products. James knew their products quite well and he was very informative on products from Illinois Energy’s competitors as well. It was a very positive experience.
I do a lot of my own work and I thought I knew windows very well but, from listening to Mr. Shropshire I found out how much I really didn’t know. I was planning on buying and installing windows myself next year, but what I learned from Mr. Shropshire I decided along with my wife to have Illinois Energy do the work.
I can’t say enough about the quality of the window products and I’m sure the rest of their products exceed any other competitors out on the market. The only thing I could say negative if there’s anything negative to say is my wife and I both thought the price of the windows were much to high, but with the warranty of lifetime replace and or repair the price seems fair. If Illinois Energy could do something to lower the price somehow I believe they would leave the competition behind.
The windows we ordered were actually custom made for us and not sitting around in some warehouse gathering dust. I found this quite unique. Our windows were ready in four short weeks and I was called to let me know they were ready. I was busy the next few weeks at work so I couldn’t schedule for Illinois Energy to come out and install the windows. Illinois Energy worked with me and actually scheduled the install on Saturday. The installers arrived on time and were very accommodating and courteous. They completed the work of installing the windows in less than a day and cleaned up all the debris inside and outside the house.
The windows are just beautiful and match the décor inside house as well as the outside which they finished off on the exterior of the house with matching trim. They also caulked all the windows on the exterior of the house. The installers were quite thorough in installing, caulking and cleaning up after the work was completed. I would recommend Illinois Energy very highly due to the quality and workmanship of their window products and their representatives. It was all such a positive experience.

We can tell how well they insulate and keep in the cool air during the summer and how warm they help to keep the heat in during the winter season. I think I liked the new exterior door the most.The wood grain option to make the door match the rest of the wood trim indoors looks really awesome!
The installation guys were real profesionals at their work and were prompt and courteous. The old aluminum storm and screen sash system didn't have weep holes to let the rain water drain out the sills. "Although our house isn't all that old, we were in desperate need of new windows. On some of them we would notice wind blowing through them or condensation (ice/moisture) would gather. Because of this we also determined that we were probably over spending on heating and cooling our house. We decided to go forward with installing all new windows, doors and outside shutters on our two-story home. They were installed over one weekend with little disruption to us. It was a very smooth process. Over the next couple of weeks our doors and shutters were also installed.
Since then we have been very pleased not only with the look of the windows, doors and shutters, but also with how we have been able to adjust our heating. Last winter, om thermostat was usually set to around 73 or 74 degrees. This winter we have been able to lower it anywhere from 3 to 5 degrees depending on the weather. Our house just feels tighter. We would happily recommend Illinois Energy to anyone interested in installing new windows. We were very pleased with the level of service from the sales representative to the installers to the owner who called us personally. We chose Illinois Energy Windows & Siding Inc. in the first place because the salesman (Dave Sullivan) who came to our home was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. "I just wanted to Iet you Know what a difference getting these new windows has made in our home. Before getting Illinois Energy windows, I was afraid to let my newborn son sleep in his room. With his old windows, there woulld be mold in the Springtime and ice in the Winter. His room was constantly drafty, and the screens were so loose that I was afraid if someone leaned on them, they would pop out. When Illinois Energy presented us with a great offer for their windows, we decided to change our windows. "We wanted to take a minute and write a letter saying how happy we have been with the work that Illinois Energy did on our windows and door. We had major problems with our existing windows with leaks and condensation between the panes. When the wind would blow, we could see our curtains move. It was both embarrassing and costly with high energy bills. Illinois Energy came out and assessed our windows and gave us several options as to how to go about replacing them. We were unable to do all of them at once, but Illinois helped us come up with a plan that was both affordable and addressed our biggest concerns first. They also helped us choose a new front door to replace our current one which was letting in a lot of cold air also. When the workmen arrived, they did a wonderful job removing and replacing the windows. They took great care when cutting the old windows out and putting the new ones in. They replaced 8 windows and the front door in a single day. They were very organized. They took the time to show me everything they were doing and made sure that if I had any questions or concerns they were answered right away. When the project was complete, they walked me around and had me look for any problems. They showed me how the windows worked. They demonstrated how to clean them. That was one of the best features we have in these windows, i.e. the ability to clean both panes from the inside. We no longer need ladders in high winds at 30 feet off the ground. That is not to say the job went completely perfect. When the front door was installed, it was discovered that Illinois Energy did not order the new door knobs. They had to put the old one on temporarily. However, they called it in right away and called us as soon as it arrived in their shop. They scheduled the service technician to install it when it was most convenient to our schedule. Not only did he replace the old door knob, but he replaced the hinges to match the finish of the door knob. It is little things like this that made the experience of working with Illinois Energy satisfying. We appreciate Illinois Energy's customer service. The day after we signed the contract with Illinois Energy, the owner called us to thank us for our business and let us know that we could contact him at any time if we had any questions or concerned. When we did call him after that, he was always available to talk with us and address our concerns. All other employees (Le. salesman, foreman, secretary, carpenters) were always courteous. They worked around our schedule and were very understanding when we had to reschedule a meeting. I've worked with a lot of contractors on my job. They typically are very concerned about getting the work done quickly so they can get paid and are not concerned about doing a good job. Illinois Energy was not like that. Their number one concern was our happiness. They did not expect payment until the job was done to our satisfaction."

Thanks to your quality workmanship my house now has improved curb appeal, improved energy efficiency, and is more animal resistant. I am completely satisfied with the job. The new siding makes the house look cleaner and more modern, especially from the backyard. The shakes Michael recommended for over the garage look even better than expected. The primary reason I had the work done was to increase energy efficiency, I feel confident that has been accomplished. By replacing two patio doors with four-panel, custom built ones with insulated glass, Martin and Adam from Kamil’s crew did an outstanding job. The panels were irregular in size. The poor condition of the existing frames required lots of attention to detail as one of the original parts could be salvaged. Extensive insulation and caulking complete the job.
For several years, my house has attracted a variety of animals, particularly raccoons. When Roman removed the old fascia we discovered why – wasps. Dozens of active hives existed in gaps between the old fascia and the brick building. In addition, when he removed the cedar boards from two, 18-foot peaks, lots more wasps appeared. The inside sections were open. The area inside had not been insulated, nor any plywood installed. The raccoons were seeking shelter and wanted to eat the eggs from the nest. While roman worked another part of the house, I had an exterminator eliminate the wasps. By replacing the cracking cedar panels with snug-fitting vinyl siding, my house will now be less attractive to critters and be more energy efficient. Your workmen were professional: polite, on-task, and neat. They performed their duties without loud music and unnecessary noise, and added treat for the neighbors. I recommend Illinois Energy without reservation to any homeowner needing widows, siding, gutters, or downspouts.

When your sales rep, James David, knocked on our door a couple years ago, we were already looking at buying new windows but were only considering "name brand" companies.
